Robert Satterwhite – Owner/Coach

Certifications: CrossFit L1, CrossFit Kids, and Past USA Weightlifting L1

After I received my CrossFit Level 1 Certificate, I began taking steps to open a CrossFit affiliate in Oxford, NC. Fitness has always been a passion of mine, and I am so happy to be able to share that passion with others. Being a part of this growing CrossFit community has been nothing short of amazing. My goal is to make fitness fun and accessible to all. Becoming fit does not have to be a struggle. With the right program and community, the journey can be more exciting than the results.

Scott Zubich – Head Coach

Certifications: CrossFit L1, CrossFit L2, and CrossFit Kids

Back in 2006, I decided to join the Army and ended up serving for 11 years.  My wife Tory also served in the Army and after her service she decided to move to North Carolina.  I quickly followed a year later once I left the service. Being in the army I always loved the fitness aspect of it and generally coaching/mentoring people to help them grow. I started CrossFit back in 2016 when my wife introduced me to it and couldn’t get enough. I loved it so much that I decided to pursue coaching and attained my CrossFit L1 and L2 certificates. No matter where you are in your journey always remember to have fun with it. A quote I like to tell my athletes is “get comfortable with being uncomfortable.” Being uncomfortable is okay as long as it isn’t pushing to injury. Being uncomfortable in a sense of trying a new movement or pushing your body and mind past its limits are where goals are met, whatever they are. I am here to help you grow and meet your fitness goals! 

Erin Borden – Coach

Certifications: CrossFit L1

Health and health education have always been things that I’ve enjoyed learning about and sharing with others. After coming to Strong Ox for Murph in 2019, I got hooked on finding new ways to grow as an athlete in this incredibly welcoming and supportive environment! As a coach, I hope to share the right information that helps people achieve their fitness goals in an efficient and safe way. Hope to meet you in class soon! 

Hali Wheeler – Yoga Instructor

Certifications: Blue Point Yoga Center Yoga Teacher

After a slight knee injury and overall growing tired of where I was in my fitness journey I decided to start taking time for stretching and quickly discovered yoga. Once I saw the challenge of it and how good it was for the body I fell in love with yoga and decided to become certified after practicing for a little over a year.  From there I have bounced around a few places teaching and have now settled at Strong Ox CrossFit! Here you’ll find a great environment for growing and learning in your fitness journey!
